People Power Passion
Branding, print and digital design for People Power Passion, Luton’s Pilot Year of Culture.
People Power Passion is an ambitious programme of events that took place across five months in 2019, to commemorate the 1919 Peace Day Riots. The programme brought Luton’s diverse cultures and communities together to celebrate the vibrant town, empowering local residents and giving a voice to those who are rarely heard.
The programme called for a bold, recognisable brand that could be applied across a variety of outputs, including flyers, newspaper adverts, billboards, lamppost banners, hoardings, posters, roller banners, film graphics, an event programme and a celebration booklet to document the project. The logo is inspired by protest signs and headlines, and is intended to be attention-grabbing and unapologetic.
